Dye Transfer from Clothing
Daily use may occasionally lead to the transfer of pigments from dark garments (such as raw denim) onto your item.
- Nature of the Incident: Dye transfer is caused by external pigments and does not indicate a defect in the leather or material. Consequently, the Maison cannot offer repairs or exchanges for this specific issue.
- Susceptible Materials: This risk applies to all leathers (Grained, Smooth, Nubuck), Natural Raffia, and our textile range (Alpaca, Merino wool, Italian Felt, and Cotton Twill).
- Immediate Action (Grained or Smooth Leather): Gently apply a transparent cleansing cream.
- Immediate Action (Nubuck): Use a soft bristle brush to lift the fibers.
Treating Stains by Material
To avoid altering the finish of your item, adhere to the specific care instructions for each material type.
Grained & Smooth Leather
- Cleaning: Apply a small amount of transparent cleansing cream to a soft, light-colored cloth.
- Technique: Dab the area gently; do not rub aggressively.
- Persistent Stains: If the mark remains, do not apply further products. Consult a leather specialist.
Wools & Cotton Canvas (Merino, Alpaca, Cotton Twill)
- Cleaning: Apply a dry-cleaning foam using a soft brush to gently treat the affected area.
- Precaution: Never machine wash, tumble dry, or iron these materials, as heat and water immersion will damage the fibers and water-repellent finish.
Italian Woven Felt Canvas
- Cleaning: Gently remove stains using a soft cloth.
- Precaution: Avoid contact with the leather trims and do not rub the material, as this may damage the wool surface.
Nubuck Leather & Natural Raffia
- Nubuck: Do not use maintenance creams or waterproof sprays, as they will irreversibly alter the velvet texture.
- Raffia: Avoid friction against the fibers. If stained, gently dab the area with a dry cloth.
Water & Moisture Exposure
If your item is exposed to rain or excess humidity:
- Dab immediately: Remove excess water with a soft, dry cloth.
- Air dry: Allow the item to dry naturally in a temperate environment.
- Avoid heat: Never use artificial heat sources (such as hair dryers or radiators), particularly for Merino wool, Nubuck, and Raffia.
Scratches & Surface Marks
Should your leather item sustain a scratch, we advise against applying colored creams or home remedies.
- Minor Scratches: Often, massaging the leather gently with a clean finger can diminish the appearance of light marks on certain leathers.

Important Note: Professional Care
For serious accidents, oil-based stains, or deep damage, always favor a professional leather cleaner. Home remedies or aggressive rubbing can cause irreversible damage to noble fibers and delicate leathers.
